Discussion: I Don't Agree With Homosexuality

Someone said homosexuality is a choice? 
This is the problem I have with religion. They're all uneducated, entitled, ass holes who still have the brain of a two year old thinking that their word and beliefs >> facts.
It's not an opinion. It's being ignorant. If religion was eliminated from this world life would be so much better.

That was the first thing that came to my mind while reading the incredibly pathetic and ignorant statements from basically all of you.
You are talking about something WAY more precious than "sexuality". You are talking and ****ING with people's RELIGION now..something that is intertwined WITHIN you. Not only is it clear that none of you seem to have one judging by your response, but look at the HYPOCRITICAL **** you all have spewed throughout this thread.
"I don't agree with homosexuality because I am deeply connected with my religion, but I respect and LOVE everybody" - what is this saying? It saying that they THEMSELVES do not agree with it, but it does not change their love FOR you. It's your decision and YOUR life. simple.
here are the responses though:
"It's all a bunch of religious nuts who are homophobes. You disagree so YOU are a homophobe"
Homophobe definition: An EXTREME and IRRATIONAL AVERSION to homosexuality and homosexual people.
Aversion definition: A strong dislike or disinclination.
Not only are you all being EXTREMELY disrespectful and DRAMATIC as HELL over something (Christianity) that you know NOTHING about, but you have the audacity and the NERVE to EXPECT (like a spoiled ass child) people to RESPECT YOUR BELIEFS, BUT YOU WILL NOT DO THE SAME IN RETURN.
how pathetic, insensitive, hateful, and CRUEL you have to be. How absolutely disgraceful you have to be to not advance your community, but make it look like the one-sided joke it is.
No one EVER will respect you, because you can't do the same in return.
Equality for all? Respect for all? WE ARE ALL equal? that's the cause..right? Act like it.

 at the idea of homophobia being an 'opinion' that should be respected.
I guess we can't really blame people like Adolf Hitler... It was his ~~opinion~~ that jews should be put to death.

The only stupid thing here is this comment. Yes, gay people choose to die because of their sexuality, be rejected, be bullied, have "feminine traits", lose friendships and connections with family members. So ignorant.

You clearly didn't pay attention at all in school and I feel sorry that you talk like you're a kindergartner. You don't "choose" to be attracted to the same sex, you're born with it. I'm not sure I understand you here. How can you say that you "don't agree with homosexuality" and then say the other positive things that you said? I'm not judging you, just confused by that one sentence, which seems out of place in your comment.
To the original point of this thread, I think that to say one doesn't agree with something as natural as a person's sexual preference is the same same as saying "I don't agree with Blackness", or with heterosexuality, or with biology, or with being human.

Just remember that every topic has its fans and its haters. If you try to convert the haters to fans. It's their opinion.
But you can argue it however. To be honest our society PLAYS the 'Easily Offended' card a lot. Just stop it's getting annoying.

Homosexuality can be a choice. I did not say it was the only thing. My friend was straight during High School. She kept coming up to me talking to me about her men problems. As time goes by, she told me got tired of men, and started to like women.

Religion is and sexuality isn't? Are you hearing yourself?
Those people were referring to the religious fanatics, who you clearly must know of, ie Westboro Baptist Church.
Sexuality isn't a choice or belief. It's a fact of life, just like the color of the sky or way the sun sets every night. Disagreeing with and expressing your disagreement with someone's ignorant beliefs doesn't make you "pathetic, insensitive, hateful, and CRUEL!!11!" The amount of people playing devil's advocate in this thread
