With the recent success of High School Musical, Vanessa, Zac and Ashley have all padded their bank accounts!

“For the first two HSM movies that aired on Disney Channel, the cast all made about the same,” an insider tells InTouch. “Now that HSM 3 is headed for the big screen, all of their salaries went up, but no one made more than $3 million.”

Zac reportedly made $3 million for the recent HSM movie. Ashley reportedly made $2.8 million while Vanessa made only $2 million. An insider said that Vanessa was paid less due to the photo scandal that hurt her image previously.

In terms of HSM she gets paid more and it's only because of V's nude scandal. Ashley is the better actress but Vanessa can sing laps around that b!tch.

HSM sucks hard. But if in a parallel world I were to watch it, it would definitely be for Ashley, she's so much better than VaneXXXa.

Vanessa is clearly the better singer while Ashley the better actress.
Vanessa is also the sexiest but thats a matter of personal taste, though I think it's pretty obvious Vanessa is prettier than her especially after that horrid nose job.

Your only saying that because your a biased fan. But in actuality we all know who had the better debut album, and if Ashley's new song is any indication, the better sophomore effort as well. And I have nothing against Vanessa, but her music IS KINDA bland as of late. (Keep in mind that I bought 'Identified' AND 'V')...

The second part of your comment as you said is a matter of opinion. But I find Ashley better looking when she's at her best. The nose job looks fine to me, she really doesn't look much different now that the swelling is done.

I find them both to be pretty average singers, but I like Ashley's better only becuase it doesn't have that whine quality.

^I actually think Ashley's debut was stronger than Vanessa's, though I got tired of Ashley's after a couple of months.
And it's pretty obvious Vanessa's is a better vocalist.
I can understand you perferring Ashey's voice to Vanessa's but I've never seen one live performance of Ashley's that showcases any real vocal talent.
I can pull up plenty of Vanessa, especially from her recent tour. But Ashley does work with what she has.

And I'm not saying this as a biased fan at all. If you ask me it's the other way around ...

i agree ..Vanessa may look good even at naturalm esp with straight hair ..but damn ..Ashlee looks glam & flawless at the red carpet & events when she retouches

well.. i think this vanessa vs Ashley thing is kinda pointless...they both have talent and that's a fact no matter which one do you like better... you don't do a Zac vs Vanessa or zac vs Corbin comparisons... it's just a waste of time..

the real thing here is that's completely ridiculous the money they get for their job... and that's not only for the HSM cast...

the other thing is that all of them share the same plot significance (at least they said) and if not Vanessa plays the main female character in all movies either you like it or not... so it's not logical that they don't receive the same pay as it's not logical that, in the actual case, ashley or zac made more than vanessa.. that photo scandal is not an excuse... lots and lots of people do that kind of things right beside us and nobody cares... people just overreact and it's not fair for Vanessa... as it's not fair for the rest of the cast (for different reasons of course )!!!
