I like the video but I don't love it. I don't hate it.
You have to remember I'm already not big on the song but I'm in the business field so I automatically overanalyze and break things down by numbers and stats and a vision.
For me, I like the song because it will connect with
bandwagoners
fickle fans
new fans of her new image
casual fans
common folks
It shows growth and has a message which opens the doors to new ground and captivates her fans

I get Mariah carey photoshoot teas from Obsessed.
That said, I like the artistic direction minus the pez dispenser.
I like the effects.
I just don't have a strong love/hate for it...but I feel this could set the tone for the album and the image/perception of how people now see her.
ITs one thing to talk about the new image or see her but it's another thing to actually put it to video.
This is the first representation of not only her toned down look but emotionally revealing
(AS I SAID IN late 2012 introspective/retrospective/mature) vibe blended with the toned down look.
We got a little of that with livin it up but not visually.
All her other features in 2013 (well half) had the toned down look but not the emotionally revealing music to couple it.
I just want the people that now see she's survived the backlash (bandwagoners) to hop on and spend dem coins
I just want the people that only like her when she is the way THEY want her to be (not in clown attire or face painted like a coloring book) (FICKLE FANS) to embrace this more RELATABLE look
I want the fans that did support PF but couldn't endure PFRR to hop on
And most importantly I want her core fans to support as well.
I really do think this could pull 1.5M+ US if the remaining songs are smashes. She always intends to promote her album past a year but sometimes it doesn't work out. 8 videos were planned for PFRR but then...
-We have toned down look + emotionally revealing, introspective, retrospective and relatable 1st single
-We need toned down look/with sex appeal + triumphant/motivational/euphoric and still cocky/ratchet (DIOE) teas for this summer smash in July
-We need a regal look that's less is more + aspirational and schoolin the girls and gurls for the single in October/November
-We need a wildcard crazy fun look to shake things up + ratchet fun song that has no meaning but is catchy and feel good with a mild case of meaning (Starships) for the late Feb/March single
-We need a SEXY fantasy summer video+ vibey/baby making song for June/July
-We need a closer that encapsulates this entire EPIC, TIMELESS, FLAWLESS body of work that will set a PINK PRINT for females, gain the dudes respect, allow gurls/girls to have strong replay of the album, get critical acclaim, garner respect
SO THAT WHEN HER 4th ALBUM IS PURE RAP...she can still get that Jay z/Kanye/Eminem love with a stronger larger fanbase.
Then bow out gracefully with her 5th album
