There was this whole racism discussion started by black people over Zwarte Piet.... They started a commission with oppossers of Zwarte Piet and they came up with a new look... below you'll see the new Zwarte Piet as proposed by the oppossers of the original Zwarte Piet

WHY do they have a problem with the Zwarte Piet we have now then, if it's still as black as it is now?

I'm a very fun and kind person, you come off as very judgmental though.. the discussion about Zwarte Piet is annoying and pointless, but it got heated on here a few months ago, which is why I brought it up.. It's even more pointless now that they come up with an alternative that's practically identical...

The opposers of the original zwarte piet, coloured Dutch people(Surinams/Arabs/etc)

Oh? This is news to me. Haven't heard about this new black piet at all.

EDIT: I just saw an article. The opposite party who are against black piet presented and wanted a PURPLE Piet with red hair. The ministry went with the black piet with straight hair and pink lips. So I don't see really see how coloured Dutch people came up with the alternative?

How does this make it any better? Don't we have more important things to worry about?
