Why is it not treated the same? The reasons are obvious. Use common sense, which scenario will cause more harm? 5' 8" 124 lb Solange didn't harm him. 6' 2" 170 lb Jay would have harmed her.

Exactly, I understand how people could see this as a "double standard" but you can't just ignore the physical difference. It's just that most times the men are bigger than the women. If Jay-Z was hitting Solange, he would REALLY hurt her. It's not like this is a legal issue, Jay-Z can still press charges.. and he would win. He just doesn't want to. If a skinny young guy tried attacking a huge female body builder and she just put her hand out to stop him, people wouldn't be going crazy, calling him disgusting, etc. Actually they'd probably be laughing at him. Just like all those videos of young, skinny gay kids fighting girls. It gets people going
