Because Jessie basically implied that sexuality is a choice and made out that sexuality was something trivial - a phase - that you can change once you get bored of it.

You don't say that something is a phase, almost everyone thinks that bisexuality is a phase and when someone with her status goes and essentially confirms it it doesn't help .... at all.

I don't see the problem either. You can't force someone to be bisexual just as much as you can't force someone to be gay if they are not. If she was attracted to a woman at some point and those feelings subsided (which they clearly did) then I don't see the point in continually bashing her for realizing that women aren't her cup of tea. Would they rather she lead a life of personal unfulfillment due to forcing relationships with women? That wouldn't be fair to her or the other party involved.

It was that long tweet containing those loads of stupid conceptions. She shouldn't have written anything and dated whoever she wanted to.

The main thing is she used the word phase and choice when talking about bisexuality which is a big nono. That makes it sound like bisexuality isn't real and it's just plain offensive to the bi community. Tom never directly said he was ever bisexual, he just said he still fancied girls but then later said he only liked guys, I'm sure if he actually said the word bisexual when describing himself he would've gotten a lot more flack but he kept it vague.
