Also, voice type isn't all about range. In fact vocal range is one of the least important factors. It's more about certain defining characteristics of your voice like its tone and weight. As you can see, Mariah Carey is a lyric soprano, yet can sing as low as your average man lol.

If you read the whole OP this whole thread is purposely oversimplified. People who don't know anything about the technical side of singing aren't going to be able to narrow it down any further than range, if that.
