That's what his label basically marketed him as so it's gonna take him awhile to break the comparisons. Timing was not on his side.

The comparisons are viable. However, their music is different and Austin seems like a way more down-to-earth person than Bieber.
I think the comparisons are still going on because Austin hasn't solidified a specific image or style. His music and image aren't really unique or pinned down enough. Once he carves out a more specific path, I think the Bieber comparisons will stop.
