The former Take That star is apparently confined to his home in Los Angeles and barely sees anyone. No one knows if he is even still with his long term girlfriend Ayda Field.

A friend of Robbie told the Daily Star: "I haven't seen Robbie for ages. The last time I did, he was sporting an awful Robinson Crusoe style beard and looked as if he hadn't had a bath in days."

Robbie's last album 'Rudebox' recieved bad press and failed to do as well as previous releases. He was due to release new material this year, but as of yet nothing has been heard.

That's sad. Granted, Rudebox was pretty atrocious, it's still not worth becoming a Howard Hughes over it.

Rudebox was the ****. It was completely different than anyhting he's done and it was marvelous!

But it's still so sad that such a talented, creative and good looking guy could be in such situation.
