It would make life virtually nonexistent. It would bring those that actually survive such a tragedy back into the dark ages essentially, and unless a cure or vaccine was to be found against the disease that caused the outbreak, things would
never get better. Ever. The human race would eventually become extinct, which would arguably benefit the overall health of the planet at large in the long run, but your point is that a zombie outbreak would better society, and the fact is that it simply won't. If anything, it would just demolish society all together.
