At the same time, if he had performed a patriotic song that he didn't know well, and accidentally botched it -- would he have received criticism too from a lot of people? Most likely yes.
I just think people need to stop being "URL Badmans" because this is just unnecessary.
Singers need to sig when told to ok. They are our form of entertainment that we the public have built so when I say sing you SANG k girl? But this whole patriotism thing is a bunch of bullocks tbh
The way he handled them asking did come off as very awkward/rude, but it does seem like it was just because he wasn't prepared to sing anything else. They should have asked him earlier.
Kind of off-topic but I kind of how much media sources use twitter to sample public opinions now... Like I feel like one of the reasons we read so much about these stories of the "general public" acting overly sensitive over something is because it's so easy for the media to cherry-pick irrelevant tweets people make that very well may not be the majority reaction.
