Americans attack Chris Daughtry online; Chris apologizes
There was obviously a miscommunication between the show and Chris, but people just had to blow it out of proportion.

An appearance by American Idol alum Chris Daughtry on the morning show Fox & Friends has triggered backlash and a videotaped apology by the singer.
The season-five finalist had performed as part of the program's All-American Summer Concert Series and when asked by the show's hosts to sing a patriotic song in honor of D-Day (the game-changing World War II invasion by Allied troops marked its 70th anniversary on June 6), was clearly flustered by the suggestion.
"I'm off the clock," he said. "I'm going to watch 'y'all."
When the hosts gathered microphones and attempted to come up with a song the crowd could sing, Daughtry left the stage with the comment, "This is where I'll bail."
His actions triggered fury on Twitter, with one fan pointing out that U.S. soldiers "didn't go off the clock" on D-Day.

Only an idiot would be offended by what he said, but then again only idiots watch Fox News or vote Republican, so this is fitting. He shouldn't have gone on such a disreputable network in the first place.
I'm pretty sure it was conservatives based on the fact that they were watching Fox News and because they declared their conservative views on their Twitter feeds. But, I'll change it to Americans in the title.

I'm not conservative but, it's kind of a silly assumption to assume that because they watch Fox news that they are conservatives.

I had to turn off the video after he started saying that not honoring the troops was the worst part. Like literally, why apologize for that? he didn't do anything wrong and Fox was pressuring him.
