I didn't put up all people I stan for that the first thing and the second thing is that I absolutely loved "Summertime Sadness", "Video Games", "Born to die" but I don't see her going big if she recycles the same thing over and over again. Its like Lady Gaga tried to do "Bad romance" over and over again just with different words and different melody. She would be over straight after The Fame Monster.
I like other artists music even when I don't stan for them I think every artist has something interesting to show and I discover that one song and that is it.

I honestly don't know where you hear the recycling of the same sound. Ditched the hip hop beats and almost no strings, using the Wall Of Sound technique for the vocals unlike the polished ones for BTD:
It's okay not to like it. It's not up your alley, but don't claim something that it's not.
I think BTD lack subtlety, and compared to this, the production feels quite cheap
Lana definitely isn't catering herself to the pop crowd, respect for her making the album she wanted to make
That's how I feel. I mean I LOVE BTD but the rawness this record has displayed so far and now the snippets, UV will top it for me. Just knowing tracks 2-5 already ****ing kill life as we know it, ugh.
I hope the usual is changed and they stream the deluxe though, cause I'm going to need G&R and FK in my life asap. They couldve replaced PWYC and TOW for me from the sounds of it. I don't want to write them off too soon cause these songs are working based on full experience.
Also is there anywhere besides allmusic to year the snippets yet? It keeps freezing each time I go to play and then basically got to refresh.

Given how abruptly WC and SoC change pace, you can't really judge whether or not songs are boring or homogenous based on 30 second snippets. I'm liking everything I heard, though.
These sound awful. I was rocking with Lana throughout BTD because at least the dreary lyricism was disguised in good production i.e. Hip-Hop and Orchestra infused beats. This new stuff sounds like what happens when you take all of the bells and whistles away and you find out that there's very little to nothing beneath the surface which is disappointing. If she wanted a "new sound" there were a million different directions that she could have gone in without instead trying to release the album equivalent of Ambien.
It doesn't sound as good as Born to Die but I'll wait for the full versions to fully judge.
Do some of the people coming in here know anything about Lana?
