Let's take a look at Britney for example...most people would look at Britney and say that she was inspired by Madonna, but when you take a good look at her, you can see that she's the white version of Janet.

I'm not trying to brush off Madonna's legacy and influence, but I really think the superbowl incident changed everybody's views on Janet; like all of a sudden, she's a no talent has been who was known for being Michael Jackson's sister, but it didn't use to be like that.

Yes Britney was influenced by both Janet and Madonna.

About 5 girls have been influenced by Janet, while virtualy every girl in pop has been influenced by Madonna.

Don't do that. Janet influenced so many girls. These girls with the light airy voices, her choreography is copied more than Madonna's. Britney was wayy more influenced by Janet than Madonna.

Madonna's impact or influence lies within the sexualized image of the pop girls. The business aspect, & her sales strategy. Madonna is what the pop girls strive to be she is the blueprint.

However I see more direct influence coming from Miss Jackson. Even though I see Madonna's influence. I see down right thievery from Janet. All these girls like Jhene, Ciara, & Aaliyah are like Janet clones with a twist. BEYONCÉ has janet. written all over it. These boys even imitate her choreography.

People copy Madonna's ways, but they copy Janet the artist.

Janet's influence on female pop artists (and even male artists like JT) is way more evident than Madonna's. Only Gaga is really influenced by Madonna whereas Janet has a whole laundry list of artists ripping her style off.

JT was to Nipplegate what Christina was to the Madonna/Britney kiss tho. For all intends and purposes, that impact should be solely credited to Damita Jo

But I agree, Madonna hasn't done anything that comes close to that. Facebook, Youtube, GIFs, live TV delay, changes in the dictionary; all were the result of/popularized by that performance.
