Most ridiculous statement and this is one problem I have with Billboard's headline. Their headline seemingly blames
the fans for Mariah's low sales when in reality, it is the disorganization in her team and the lack of promotion. Mariah has the most loyal fans out of any pop diva out there, and this is not a stan statement. Mariah's fans went through ups and downs with her and many stick with her through the messiest of times and defend her legacy to people like Billboard, who seemingly forgot that they're talking about a legend.
Billboard's jabs started way before their cover story and this tweet, however. They often forget to credit her in chart histories, incorrectly report her sales and No.1 records, participate in stan wars (Nicki vs. Mariah during idol), call her out and shade her for "lip synching" (eg. BET Awards tweet), and now they decide to drag her fans as well.
You tell me what other star are they doing this to and why are they participating in a conversation that fuels drama?
