I've decided to limit this to Nintendo, Sony, and Microsoft consoles from the last four gens to simplify it.
So?
I'm still partial to the PS2
- Huge, huge library
- Backwards compatibility
- Felt like there was a much better variety of quality games instead of a handful of good games + a million shooters
Nintendo 64 sooooo many great memories. I still have my original + a newer one with a box full of games. The nostalgia factor really plays into my love for 64. PS2 is a VERY close second.

Frankly I didn't think anything not from those 3 companies would get many votes here, so I figured it'd be fairest to just exclude them Maybe I should've included an "other" option
I remember playing Shenmue for the first time and was just completely taken back by how immersive it was. The detail to design and story was incredible! Like nothing else that was out at that time. Still one of my favourte games to this day. Wish I still had my Dreamcast, I'd love to play through that game one more time.
