We know a lot about Gaga so let me take a moment and give my original favorite some props. Amy Winehouse was known for her coholism and drug abuse (which possibly stemmed from mental issues) and was seen as a waste and a leech of the system. BUT - Amy actually donated millions of millions of her money behind the scenes to charities and went to help children all the time (she desperately wanted to be a mom before she died).
During her stay in St. Lucia, there was a pony carrel right by a children's orphanage. The children wanted to play with them but they could not afford it. Amy paid for the ponies for an entire month if I remember right so that the children could play with them.
She also encountered a homeless man that was suffering from disease at her time in St. Lucia. She took the man to the hospital and paid for all of his surgeries and helped him shape himself back together. Mitch Winehouse was shocked to find out how his daughter was basically broke until her next royalty check from all of her time spent in St. Lucia. Wonderful, wonderful woman who is gone far too soon.
