I've noticed... Whenever I go out-of-state... You have to pay for water! When I go to California, everybody charges like $2-5 for a bottle of water and like $0.50 for a cup of water. Same in Vegas and when I went to Wisconsin. In Israel water bottles were like $2 everywhere and cups were like $0.10.

Here in Arizona, bottled water is like $0.25-$1 and cups of water is FREE everywhere.


EDIT: I should probably specify, the water we get for free in AZ is also EXTREMELY clean. Like, only place I've gone with dirty water is Sugar Bowl Everywhere else the free water is cleaner than the bottled tbh

Cups of water are free where I live, and it is quite far from Arizona.

Bottled water is decently priced (25 cents at the grocery store/$1 at a restaurant).

Clean water isn't free.

The water's free, but that bottle and the purification wasn't… Better start drinking from the fountain and hope nobody's backwash got on there…

Cups of water are free here, bottled is priced and depending on the brand of water it can go from cheap to pricey. We usually buy our water in bulk though which is much cheaper than buying a bunch of them in singles.

Fresh water shouldn't be free, at least not in developed countries where we have good access to it and tend to waste it so much. Fresh water is a ridiculously precious natural resource and people completely take it for granted

In Texas, the pack of water is usually 2-3 dollars (at WALMART, Kroger, Albertson's, Central Market, etc), for a water bottle at WALMART (like Dasani or Aquafina) is one dollar and fifty cents. Its cheaper if you buy it at CVS/Pharmacy or Family Dollar.
Mineral Water (like Voss or SmartWater) is like 2-8 dollars at Sprout's.

EDIT: So obviously the clean water is not free, but the City water (in Dallas and Fort Worth) from the sink is definitely clean, not in Saginaw though.

A 24 case of water is literally like two bucks more than buying a solo bottle. At least in Texas. It adds up tho, and because I drink so much water, I just bought a purifier.


But no, water is never free. Even tap water you owe a damn water bill.

Normal (non-bottled) water has been free anywhere I've ever eaten.

here in GA cup of water is free but bottled water is $1 to maybe $1.50 but i buy the pack with 24 in them for 3 bucks

Cups of water here in NJ are free & bottled water you have to pay for. I'm guessing the reason you have to pay for cups of water in Cali is because of the major drought they have.
