It's just an idiotic way of ignoring fact and stating an opinion as fact. Most people who say this are uneducated and are stuck studying books that are, in my opinion, nothing but fables and folklore, such as the contradictory Christian bible. What I just said is an opinion that can be debated. "I Don't Agree With Homosexuality" cannot be debated because it isn't necessarily an opinion, it's just a statement that ignores the fact that Homosexuality exists and has existed since the dawn of time. The better term for it would be "I Don't Think Homosexuality Is Moral or Right on a Moral or Humane level," but even that term is a large stretch.

However, don't be mistaken, you're thought process is homophobic. You will have kids or otherwise spread that mindset to people around you. These people might not be so mature to keep their hands outside of someone else's business. You're just helping perpetuate a cycle of hate indirectly

I haven't met one person who chose to be gay, you don't just live a straight life and wake up gay.
And lifestyle is what you choose to eat, how you choose to dress, where you choose to live in, whom you love is not a lifestyle. Homosexuality is well...sexuality, it's a sexual instict someone is born with, it's innate and cannot be chosen neither is there a switch for on and off options.

I think that people who say that are most likely to discriminate. That's why i don't look too kindly at them.

I actually do struggle with homosexual temptations but I believe that I have been renewed in Jesus Christ and that there is freedom to be found from WHAT I SEE AS a sin that I've been enslaved to for years. I'm not perfect but I am making progress.

Not agreeing with homosexuality =/= homophobe.... homophobes go out of their way to hate gay people and to prevent them from living a life like anyone else... there are still people who don't like it, but do accept that some people live like that and who give them equal rights

I think as long as you're not pushing your so called religious right in the faces of those who don't follow your path we can be ok. I mean the whole don't hate the sinner but hate the sin motto sounds so ironic in the worst way.

It's the opposite actually. Your religion is the one that violates the human rights and that is a life choice, homosexuality is not.

Ignorance violates my religious views. But I still deal well with tiny minded people and their angry sky monster.

Hate can present itself in sneaky, insidious ways. It's not always the words, but the space between the words and their implications...
