I am still not over this flawless episode

This episode was amazing. But why did Oberyn have to die in such a horrible way?

The thing I don't understand is why Arya laughed like an evil witch after she heard her aunt died. Can someone explain it to me?

Because the whole point of the Hound bringing her to the Eyrie in the first place was to sell her to Lysa, and after aaaaaaaall they went through, when they finally arrived she'd died and it'd all been for nothing basically. Poor Hound

This episode SHOCKED me completely. Why did Oberyn had to get all cocky??? with this show you just never know Cercei's face went from completely defeated to the cocky bitch she is in seconds

And Sansa OMG! I loved her! She's actually a great character and Sophie is actually an impressive actress! She really portrays Sansa really really well She should get more recognition. I'm rooting for ha now!

GREAT episode!!! The only lackluster was that scene in jail just before the battle. So out of place and BORING. Other than that this episode was LIFE itself. Ruthless really! I'm still getting over it

Sophie has people so pressed

Not only is she exceedingly beautiful and comprehends Sansa as well as the very creator of the book, but she does an impressive job at portraying both accurately and convincingly one of the most difficult characters in the entire series.

The bulk of Sansa's emotional charge and personal development occurs in her head, the character is trapped for most of the series be it in The Red Keep or the Eyrie and she has to wear a mask of courtesy, servitude and grace while having a powerful and telling inner monologue most of the time.

No actor on the show can has portrayed a character as well as Sophie has with what they've been given (perhaps with the clear exceptions of Diana Rigg, Charles Dance, Michelle Farley and Maisie Williams) and even those characters are easier to portray than the subtle complexities of Sansa.

Don't TRY to compare her to this.

For some people wondering why they had they had that boring beetle monologue, I read online that it was meant to foreshadow Oberyn's death. He was crushed....like a beetle

I wish people wouldn't put one GOT actor down to build another up. There's literally not a single bad actor on the show. I thought this week's ep was Sophie's BEST showing ever, and Emilia's best showing all season. Dany's silent, controlled rage was such a contrast, because it was JORAH. She loved him! And Sophie, well, little needs to be said about Cap'n bamf!

As for Emmys, well, Charles, Peter, and Pedro deserve to win especially with what's coming up , and Maisie and Sophie definitely deserve nominations. Lena has been fantastic, but she hasn't had a ton to do and I think next season she will have lots more opportunities to prove herself.

I just pray that the Emmys don't undervalue GOT again like they have done in the past. I mean, we all know Peter is gonna get at least a nom, but if Charles and Pedro aren't AT LEAST nommed I will have a meltdown.

I'm kinda hoping HBO submits Indira Varma for Best Guest Actress too, along with Diana Rigg. As much as I love Rigg's portrayal of QoT, she hasn't been as prominent in this season while Ellaria's scream and shock, for me, was a big part of the gut-wrenching death that came to Oberyn.

Even the best actress in the world cant save Danys Meereen arc, its the worst part of the books, the author has openly said it was extremely difficult to write.

No matter how hard Emilia Clarke tries, her performance will be inferior till she leaves Meereen. Emilia acts well, but will continue to be hampered by abysmal material.

Sansa, Cersei have very nice arcs now, and will supplant Dany for a while.

Anyone who has read the books will know this.

The TV adaptation is very near the books now.

Sansa has sailed into The Winds of winter. It implies she has a lot of chapters in the book, or they would have slowed down her arc. It also helps that the vale is isolated. So her story can breeze past everyone else.
Jon, Tyrion, Cersei are still in ASOS.


Sansa has always been my favorite character, and also Dany. Its a bit weird, Sansa`s arc improves a lot with every book. But Dany starts brilliantly in Book 1, and then it becomes bad, and then we are stuck in Meereen.

The new Sansa - Alayne - will be quite popular, because the other females in the show all suffer from stuck or poor plotlines.
