Dogs indeed can swim, so if she was in a pool perhaps the reaction from people wouldn't be so shocking.
Anyways, I can't see the pic. There's an issue with my computer however if she's in the ocean it's really not safe (or reccomended) to take a dog that size out in the surf.
Like i said, I can't see the pic but based on their comments I can only imagine the dog was out in the surf on the surfboard with her. - If not then the people making those comments are wrong but if so, it was an irresponsible thing for her to do.
