Taylor will underperform in all markets outside of the Country scene, but then again, she went back to Max Martin and Shellback to recreate another #1 with them, didn't she? Regardless, after a highly front loaded week, she'll diminish much more quickly than Rihanna, ultimately underperforming far more than Rihanna.
Red outlasted Unaplologetic. How many of Rih's albums charted for 100 weeks?
@boodytay calm down. EOA is just giving an opinion if you think they are trolling just put them on your ignore list.
Anyways to answer to OP, honestly it seems very low for either of them to underperform for their standards. Both of them have proven to be two of the most consistent girls in the game. Rihanna frequently has a radio hit (The Monster just finished up its run) and Taylor has 4 consecutive 5x platinum albums.
Worst comes to worse Rihanna's single will be blocked by some huge hit and her album doesnt go #1 and worst for Taylor is her lead single doesnt go #1 and her album sells less than 600-750k first week. Both of which are not bad scenarios.
Taylor is more likely to underperform if we compare her with Rihanna
I mean it's been quite long since the end of Rihanna's last era. Rihanna's comeback will be one of the most anticipated yet
