Rumored rivals Shannen Doherty and Jennie Garth locks arms on the new cover of Entertainment Weekly.
The reunited-at-last pair will dish on their rocky past, unlikely reunion and why the new show shocks even them! The cover feature with Shanne, 37, and Jennie, 36, will later appear on EW.com.
“There was almost a comfort in knowing that I was getting to work with somebody who had been on the original with me and gone through the same experiences,” Shannen recently told Radar. “Like, ‘Okay we’ve been through the war together already.’ I never even gave any thought to it being awkward. I know how much I’ve grown up since then. I would assume that she’s grown up the same amount.”
90210 premieres @ 8PM ET/PT on Tuesday, Sept. 2 on The CW.

TUESDAY, 9/2, THE CW, 8 P.M. ET
THE GIST: The classic teen drama gets an update that’s utterly of the moment, following a Kansas family’s fishout- of-water move to the nation’s zestiest zip code.
HOT FOR TEACHER: Expect scandalously sexy sparks between handsome teacher Ryan, played by Ryan Eggold, and a very familiar face. “Kelly Taylor is now the counselor at the high school, so Jennie Garth and I have some interesting stuff together,” Ryan reveals to In Touch. Something tells us that Brenda may be jealous!

"90210's Shenae Grimes is no autograph-seeker, but demand for her own signature is on the rise"
"Shenae Grimes never has asked anyone for their autograph.
"Personally, I never could do it," said Grimes, the Toronto girl who's starring in the new 90210.
"Probably it's because I'm Canadian and we have this sense of privacy. You feel like you're invading someone's space, and for what? Their job is to act on television or whatever, and so I recognize them from that, but what gives me the right or entitlement to go over and interrupt their day?
"My big thing is always, well, if you ask someone for an autograph, that will ruin your chances of ever being friends with them, right? Forever you're a fan!"
Grimes may not be an autograph-seeker, but her own autograph will be highly sought-after soon. The new 90210 -- a continuation of Beverly Hills 90210 that features old cast members such as Shannen Doherty and Jennie Garth -- unveils its two-hour debut on Tuesday (Global, CW).
Grimes, a recognizable face in Canada for her role as Darcy Edwards on CTV's Degrassi: The Next Generation, is a grounded 18-year-old who is keeping everything in perspective. But she was taken aback when she first was cast as Annie Wilson in 90210, because everyone said she had the "lead" role.
"It's completely an ensemble cast," Grimes said. "But I have to say, my cast-mates here (in Los Angeles) have been so supportive. They all have been pushing me to the middle, they're so awesome, and I don't think of myself as the lead at all."
That said, Grimes' sudden splash in American television has led to some uncomfortableness among the fraternity of young Canadian actors she knows so well.
"Some of my (former) cast-mates back home weren't that interested in talking about it with me," Grimes said.
Well, we can understand that at a certain level. "Absolutely, I can, too," Grimes said. "Getting on an American show, let alone what could be the next big hit, you can't fathom it as a kid in Toronto. It seems impossible to break the ice and get into the industry (in L.A.). So for someone else to do it, it has to tug at the heart-strings when you also want it so badly."
Grimes is being mature about it, but still, you can hear the hurt in her voice.
"I would have appreciated a little bit more congratulations," Grimes said. "I always am the first one to call whoever gets a new role, with genuine support, because you are you and I am me, and your career is yours and mine is mine. If you're meant for it, I'm not, and vice-versa. I don't believe in the competition thing at all, so I let it all fly right back.
"But a lot of them were very supportive. Jamie (Johnston, who plays Peter Stone on Degrassi) has been calling me all the time. I miss them."
Shenae Grimes the actress is a California girl now. But Shenae Grimes the person vows she never will lose the Canadian in her.
"I will not," she said. "I absolutely will not."
Regardless, it's time to start warming up that autograph-signing hand, Shenae."

im not watching. nothing compares to the original beverly hills 90210. i loved that show i would race home whenever it was on to see it. 90210 needs to stay in the past like so many other great sitcoms.

Cannot wait!
This kinda reminds me of Degrassi where they had the old version from the 80's & then years later they made Degrassi :The Next Genration where some of the poeple form the 80's version (Mr. Simpson, Joey,Caitlin, Spike) reprised their roles. Well this is kinda similiar to this Shannon & Jennie fromthe 90's version of 90210 reprising their roles for the new version for 90210, & what''s ironic is that the chick who played Darcy from Degrassi is on 90210 as one of the main characters.

I only caught the very end of it. Forgot it was premiering tonight. Hopefully CW will put it on their website soon, or I'm sure I'll find it elsewhere with no problem.

The premiere was great! I loved seeing Kelly and Brenda! It's been so long since Shannen appeared as Brenda! I will definitely be watching next week and the rest of the season!

This was, by far, the most incredible series premiere of any show, I've ever seen in my 19 years on earth. No lie.
I nearly popped a blood vessel when Shannen Doherty appeared. That's my bitch. <3 :woo:
