First and foremost I think it's disrespectfull to refer to any country's music as trash.secondly iggy better starts associating her self with Australia because in the long run it will be beneficial to her,when the chips are down it's those same people that she has alienated that will be there for her.She should take a cue from artist like Rihanna and Niki who still keep in touch with their roots despite their massive success overseas.

I'll tell you story about a Nigerian musician who left the country to South Africa out of fustration,she literally wanted nothing to do with her country,claiming that SA was better than her country and how she was more appreciated there.years later she fell ill and nobody in SA could help her,she had to return to the country she despised and she thought despised her in return , begging for money for her treatment,eventually she got the money but it was too late so she died and now the music industry in Nigeria is one of the biggest in Africa.
Back to iggy of course there will be closed minded people who despise her for her success,but there are others who will love to associate with her,but her attitude will just turn them off.No matter what she should stiil try to rep her country anywhere she finds her self!artist like Rihanna encountered such problems when they were starting out but it didn't stop her from repping her country.You can never go wrong when you acknowledge your roots regardless of what ever issues you might have with them,no country is perfect,not even America,where she currently enjoying her success,so dis associating herself from her home country is not the best option.

She always talks about Australia and Australian culture in her interviews when asked though, it's not like she never talks about where she came from. She just didn't identify with the music or the scene there at the time, which was EIGHT+ years ago. Which is why I find it so ridiculous that they are using that against her.
