Walsh has now confirmed on the Colm Hayes show on 2FM that he has done the deal.
He revealed: "I knew I was doing the show but I just signed the deal and I'm very happy with it. At my age you have to keep working!"
It had been rumoured that the gorgeous Geordie - who is returning to the show after three years - was not happy about working with Walsh.
The fourth judge is still to be announced, although Spice Girl Mel B - who has previously made guest appearances on the panel - is said to be the frontrunner.
Walsh said: "It has to be someone I like. I'd love it to be Sharon Osbourne, but I don't think it's
going to be her. There are all sorts of rumours going around. "I think it could be Mel B from the Spice Girls. I love her and she's quite mad.
"She also did both the American version and the Australian versions of X Factor."
#1 This is stale tea. Announced yesterday.
#2 Mel B is doing America's Got Talent, how could she do X Factor auditions?
#3 I wouldn't trust this article much, Mel B was never a judge on X Factor US.
But then they should cut a category out for the live shows? I hoped for someone new, not Louis again.
Cheryl said that the show will finally take on a more fair format that she has fought for over the years : giving each judge a group, boy, girl, and over 25. This way there aren't any groups easier or harder to handle.
How long until he confirms that this is his last season as a judge? Has there been a year where he hasn't announced he's leaving only to show up again?

OMG! Really, is this confirmed!? This is FAR more interesting to watch!
