Nope, my last name doesn't sound at all how it's spelled nor is it pronounced how it looks

Most of the times no, because it's not an English name. Spanish is my native language so I speak English with an accent and my name has a v which apparently I pronounce as if it were a b so whenever someone asks me to spell my name it has a b instead of a v (I wish I knew how on Earth those two letters sound different). Also, my name is spelled differently in Italian, sometimes people choose that spelling. :/

only my middle name which is Llewelyn (luh-well-in) some people spell it luwellin. people **** up my last name too I got a certificate where they spelled it "Deaf" it's "Dent"

Nah, I let my new Uni friends call me by the wrong name for like a month before they found my Facebook and realised they had been saying it wrong. I just can't be assed correcting people any more, no one ever gets it right first time.

I make sure to spell it out immediately after telling anyone important/official what it is though, as even if they somehow hear me correctly there's about 5 spellings to the right pronunciation.

The may miss an h in my last names (both have h-s you cant really hear) but other than that my name is pretty straight forward

It's more annoying when people switch my and my friend's name my french teacher did it like the first lesson and she couldnt know we were friends that quickly

Every teacher pronounces my name differently and my name isn't something like Grishasjfkf. There's only one h that you do not pronounce, but people still manage to create dozens of different versions of my name

Oh and no one has ever managed to pronounce my last name correctly at the first try.

Kinda. My surname is "Lees' and people always spell/say it as just "Lee" and it annoys me a bit.

Eh, sometimes. They'll add extra letters to my first name when it really isn't that hard a name.

My name is Ronny but everyone spells it Ronnie even when they see it written. It's annoying.

I go by Nick, so most of the time there are no problems, but my full name is Nicolas, spelled without the h like it usually is. So it's understandable, but still annoying, when people spell my full name Nicholas.
