Fans always want what they've heard from an artist but they don't realize that could be just a tiny part of the creativity of the artist...
I always think that artists shouldn't make the same kind of music over and over again just because their fans will like it for 100% sure... they should make music by their taste... not their fans taste...
I think the fact that so many different Lana fans each have their own favourite/least favourite tracks showcases the power and artistry of Lana, and is a clear sign that her music truly is art, interpreted by each one of us in a unique way.
Whereas for artists like Lady Gaga or Katy Perry, you all hate the same songs and you all love the same songs.

Which probably means that they don't hear a hit on the album. So I doubt that they had plans for several promo singles anyway.
