I've been on this forum for only like 2 months now and each day I come online just to see "is blah blah blah ICONIC?" "is this song ICONIC?" "is this gif ICONIC?" where more than 90% of the time it's something nobody ever heard of or something that is really irrelevant and no one cares about.

Am I the only one getting tired and annoyed by these posts?

ATRL seems to use "iconic" as a replacement for good and/or expressing a likeness for something or someone.

A lot of tabloids picked up on the excessive use of "iconic" a few years ago and called our generation ignorant, yet people are still using the word incorrectly, especially online. I don't know whether people really don't care or whether they're misinformed.

There seems to be no way of stopping it. Try to ignore it.
