Dance music has been associated with gay people since the 90's at least. Why do you think Lady Gaga, Kylie Minogue, Madonna, Britney Spears, etc. do so much of that music, whilst people who straight guys like such as Eminem, Jay-Z, etc. do all they can to avoid it?
If any of my friends caught me listening to a song like Clarity, Summertime Sadness, Starships or Titanium, my social credibility would be ruined for sure lol. Thankfully I hate that kind of music anyway.

90% of the clubs here (in Europe) play house music. Most of the DJs are european.
You can't put Starships in the same category as Clarity or Summertime Sadness, because Starships is bubblegum dance-pop while Clarity and SS are pure EDM (although they are both EDM).
It's funny because all the dance artists you mentioned are female, and it's a stereotype that males listening to female artists are gay. What about David Guetta, Avicii, Zedd, Alesso, Swedish House Mafia, DJ Tiesto, Calvin Harris, etc.? You won't be called gay listening to them because a) their image, b) they are male.
I am a straight male and I mostly listen to EDM and hip hop, and I listen to all kinds of EDM and hip hop (male or female).
I love Girl Gone Wild, Gimme More, etc. because there is nothing wrong with them except that they are sung by females. Starships, on the other hand, is a bit different cause of the basic lyrics and it's more pop than EDM, imo.
Find some new friends tbh.
