Believe it or not, I actually listened to Coldplay and Madonna 100+ times each this week, while Lorde and 5 Seconds of Summer each racked up 50+ plays apiece. None of their songs got enough plays to compete with Sam though.
So far as I remember, Sam Smith is only the second artist to occupy all 10 spots on my weekly countdown in the same week; Taylor Swift previously accomplished this feat following the release of
Red.
If Smith's "Money On My Mind" and "Good Thing" chart,
In The Lonely Hour will become the first album to have all of its standard edition tracks chart in the top 10; Taylor Swift's
Red and Florence + The Machine's
Ceremonials have both missed this acheivement by one song each (Stay Stay Stay and All This And Heaven Too, respectively).
