To go off of what Maxx said, Nicki probably chose PnP as the lead single because it's the poppiest song on the album.

i.e Monster, Sweet Dreams, Go Hard, Hands Up, Hello Good Morning, Up In Flames's 2nd verse, etc.

In my perfect world, this album would be very similar to ChiRaq and LAN.

I think LAN & Chi-Raq were first bought up last year during the beginning stages. PnP was recorded in April so that's one of the latest songs she did. I think the album is more like that+that IG snippet rather than the street bangers that she previously went with.
