I don't think it was though, what she said was completely true. A lot of pop singles shoot up the charts just to shoot straight back down them whereas the more AC sort of styled songs like what Christina makes grow slowly and never end up peaking high while still selling a lot of copies.

Christina Perri is just one of those artists that have to climb because they don't have that many fans or visuals or anything. Like Neon Trees or Colbie Caillat for example. I don't think this is shade, she is just talking about the pace of their singles.
