What convinces you to participates in rate?

I know a lot of rates which I gained friends from and they can be very fun. For example this new rate: http://atrl.net/forums/showthread.php?t=600209 which seems like a lot of fun.

Yeah, I have participated in a few. It takes so long to listen to all the songs you haven't heard though, so I don't do them too often.

To put it simply, the OP of the rate will have a list of songs to rate, and then you send them back the list with your scores for each song. Finally the results gets shown with each songs ranking. It's a very fun experience
