if you put yourself in the public eye, you can't complain that you didn't want to be a role model. no matter what you'll always be looked up to. get with it or just stop being a celebrity. no one likes doing the latter so i guess you just gotta suck it up

You get paid millions and millions, your voice is heard from LA to Tokyo, you get gifts, special treatment ect..the least you can do is accept the fact that your a role model. I couldn't cre less if she went all Miley on us. I like that shizz and controversy but she needs to understand that there will be repercussions from strict prudes and saying a Rihanna quote won't help you escape their wrath.
Annywho I like Lorde can't wait for her second album

You can't be a role model against your will just because you're in the public eye. Not everyone in the public eye is a suitable role model, for starters. If someone is dumb/impressionable enough to do something stupid because a celebrity did that's not the celebrity's fault if they never advised anyone to follow in their footsteps. I feel the "celebrities are role models" bull**** is a way for people to avoid taking responsibility for their own failings and blaming them on someone who has nothing to do with them.
