That's nice, but you kind of lost the choice when you decided to release music commercially
if you put yourself in the public eye, you can't complain that you didn't want to be a role model. no matter what you'll always be looked up to. get with it or just stop being a celebrity. no one likes doing the latter so i guess you just gotta suck it up
my post was harsh, she's smart with the response but saying you don't want to be a role model because you know you'll screw up isn't going to change the fact that you are a role model
if anything her being so humble makes her an increasingly better role model
I hate when celebs excuse themselves from future missteps by saying the exact same line " I don't wanna be a role model" ect. You get paid millions and millions, your voice is heard from LA to Tokyo, you get gifts, special treatment ect..the least you can do is accept the fact that your a role model. I couldn't cre less if she went all Miley on us. I like that shizz and controversy but she needs to understand that there will be repercussions from strict prudes and saying a Rihanna quote won't help you escape their wrath.
Annywho I like Lorde can't wait for her second album
"she doesn't have a choice" "too late" "blah blah"
She's still gonna be sexual or provocative if she wants to, and stay winning so nobody cares about that 'role model trap' except some Christian parents here and there, and narrow minded pricks who won't be able to stop her anyway.
