I came rushing in here to moduate peace between M stans and lambs to find a perfectly innocent thread. It's already begun for Mariah she's been criticized for these things since E=MC2 I swear. I just hope she goes a la madonna and fights against ageism instead of toning herself down like Kylie kind of has . I mean sure she had Sexercize and a lot of songs on Kiss Me Once are about sex but she is very coy about it now and is always mentioning insecurities she has with her body which makes me so sad and angry tbh.

I will say it once and I will say it again there is nothing wrong with nudity and being sexual it's human nature and older women have every right to work it/do as they please as young women do. As for working with younger artists and do typically ''fun young songs'' whatever that is supposed to mean good music is good music and i'm not here for cruise ship singers.

Me too. Similar to Janet Jackson and so many other older artists. If they still got it yet should be able to flaunt it. It's sad this mostly affects female artists in particular.

Ofc I didn't forget about Janet but she hasn't really been in the game for a while and well quite evidently the NFL and the sexist and ageist GP damaged her career hugely. The thing is I would love for more non-aesthetically beautiful women to step forward and fight ageism, like Cher for example has done and continues to do as beauty is indeed in the eye of the beholder and everyone should be able to feel beautiful and focus more on the positive feeling than the negative that they have about themsef.
