The stadium's capacity is 36,000. The arena she's performing at holds 12,000 and like the article says she's "ONLY" doing 2 dates in New Zealand, which would indicate that the article's writer thinks she could do 3 dates or more. During the 2 nights at the arena, she will perform infront of 24,000 people. If she did two more concerts at the arena she would be doing 48,000 which would be a larger audience than if she had performed at the stadium.
She can do a stadium, she just doesn't want to and she's made that pretty obvious. She EASILY could have done stadiums in multiple locations on this tour, specifically in Australia where she has 8 shows in Melbourne and the arena's capacity is 15,000. That means she will be performing infront of a collective audience of 120,000 in Melbourne alone which is significantly bigger than most stadiums.
She turned down performing at the stadium because the only date available was too close to Christmas and she wants to be home with her family. It makes complete sense imo.
I do not understand. If she wanted to go home for Christmas and considering the NZ dates are the last ones for this year, why couldn't she accept this?
The stadium is probably booked on the days she performing at the arena and the only open days left in the stadium are closer to Christmas. Just my guess.
I'm not trying to discredit her at all, but this reason doesn't make sense? If she did that stadium in New Zealand, she'd probably only do one show, instead of two. So wouldn't she be home faster then?
She probably just doesn't like stadiums, like Pink.
The stadium is probably booked on the days she performing at the arena and the only open days left in the stadium are closer to Christmas. Just my guess.
This is for sure what happened.
She chose to add more Australian dates rather than have one NZ stadium show. Katy loves her fans that much
The same old Gaga stans trying it Maybe the only time they could get the stadium was just a few days before Christmas? It's not exactly rocket science.
Either way, continue proving the naysayers wrong, Katy!
