Apparently Avril is so obsessed with the idea of getting a divorce, she has reportedly stopped wearing her engagement rings all together.
An insider told Star that Kroeger's attempts at regaining a little bit of his freedoms--and maybe manhood--have gone over any way but well in the Lavigne household:
"When they first got together, Avril wore the pants.
"But Chad has reverted back to his old ways and doesn't check in like he used to."
After Avril was spotted out-and-about several times in L.A. without Chad's wedding ring insight, a friend of the pop star told OK! that if Avril can't wear the pants--then she won't wear the ring:
"They had trust issues...It was tough when Chad was on tour.
"The friend says it's too emotional for Avril to look at her ring."
