Yes, that would be quite unfortunate. The remote possibility of getting someone else's poop on your pants when you sit down on a public bench is still not even close to being grounds for keeping public nudity illegal, though.

To my knowledge, there are currently no laws in the books outlawing a certain practice solely because it might lead to an awkward situation. And really, if we as a society became less ashamed of our bodies and such natural phenomena as "boners," it wouldn't even be as awkward as you make it out to be.
