3 months ago, I visited France for the first time ever. I've seen a lot of black people and every time someone talked to be or was standing next to me it was.....weird...and exciting in some way.

Before this, I've never seen a black person live, considering I am from a small town, we are all white here.

I am still not sure what kind of feelings I had. I just know they I didn't have those feelings when I was talking to white persons. Not sure was I uncomfortable or I acted like that cause of excitment?

Am I racist ?

I've never had any problems with seeing them on tv. Cosby Show was my fave tv show when I was a kid.

No, it's normal considering you had never seen a black person before.
They will probably clock you, but seriously, those feelings you had were normal. Humankind usually reacts badly to "different". That's why we gays are so hated. The fact that you only felt "excitement" & "weird" is totally normal.

I don't think you are a racist. You seemed to have a sheltered life and just see more of the outside world. You seem fascinated by what you saw. Hopefully, when you bring to travel it won't be a surprise to see that different coloured people exist.
