Maybe my memory's foggy, but didnt she try her best to make Uncle happen and the GP was havng none of that and wanted Dark Horse? Why you think Dark Horse took so long to be released as a single. The minute she released it as promo for the album before the ablum release and it charted she shouldve thought " hmm second single" instead of releasing UNcle. Uncle couldve been another #1 and DH wouldve lasted longer if she gave the GP what they wanted.

As for Miley, Drive shouldve been released by now. It's a her third strongest song off the album and wouldve been a good spring release

It is inaccurate since there is no prove that her flops are forgiven. The thread starter makes it looks like its a given fact. Nonetheless she remains the pop juggernaut who doesnt know how to stop.

She also didn't do SNL or a big budget AMA performance for her last 3 singles.

Well that's exactly my stance on the situation and I think it's a good thing. Her singles don't need to be forgiven. Like you said, they're forgotten. It's not like the GP coddle Rihanna and said "there there Rih, you're forgiven for California King Bed. You'll do better next time, ok sweetie?" It's just not remembered by the broader GP as being one of her megahits. But because she DOES have so many megahits, if you asked any (relatively young) bystander on the street, they will tell you that Rihanna has a slew of hits in her discography. The flops aren't forgiven. They're forgotten.
