You are way over estimating these numbers. Mariah is predicted to sell 60K and she was also doing fine with rankings due to pre-order. And is currently just 1 or 2 places behind Lana.
Well, yeah, but Mariah is in quite different situation. Her last album has opened with 168k
and it was 5 years ago selling around 600k in US total. And she's not an alternative act.

That does not change the fact that just looking at the chart positions on iTunes you would have guessed that she will open up with 60k. The days when high chart positions indicated a great opening week are long long gone.
