A forum full of gays fuming when someone says something slightly off regarding gays ("everyone should be equal" etc) and whenever something regarding transgenders comes up the ignorance level goes astronomical from a lot of members, why is that?

It's called being a social justice warrior. When people suddenly become activists because they think it's what they need to be doing... even though they don't know anything about the cause.

Or it's just called being a good person and sticking up for people.

Gays have really shown their asses in the past couple of months. We've been exposed to be insecure and weak... everything I THOUGHT we weren't. It's really sad and frustrating to see all the transphobia in the community.

Everyone's initial argument is "it's just words" but then after that argument is rebutted, they show their true colors saying dumb **** like "should have kept your balls. you don't have any now." When that's the same exact ******** homophobes say to gays.

Y'all wanna act like the oppressors now because you're too insecure about being oppressed yourself. It makes you feel good being the oppressor. Well gays don't deserve equality or respect or **** if you're gonna knock down the next least respected group of people.

This is one thing that genuinely upsets me. I always figured that gays, being persecuted as we are, would be more accepting and understanding of others who are attacked unjustly, but I've come to learn that a lot of the gay community is just as bad as anyone else when it doesn't pertain to their own struggle.

If I had to choose the thing I hate most about the gay community, that'd be right up there.

Because besides both being "oppressed" groups, gays and transgendered people don't really have that much in common. Kind of how people are surprised when gays are racists, or when when minorities are homophobic. At the end of the day, most people only really care about things that directly affect them.

I just meant he gave me vibes that he enjoys transgenders. Ain't anything wrong with that. I have nothing against transgenders so I'm not pressing this.

A lot of gays don't truly stand for "equality" like they say they do. A part of the community is selfish and generally just cares about hooking up more than anything. They have ugly attitudes such as being racist/transphobic/sexist. Some even don't like lesbians, like, wtf? They don't care for equality, they just don't want to feel oppressed, meaning many actually become the oppressors themselves.

Same thing about lesbians Lord have mercy on your soul if you use the f word, but they can go around saying **** (the lesbian d word) without a care in the world

It's like when bullied kids go on to bully people themselves.

Gays can look down and transgendered people because they're even worse off. I guess it makes them feel better.

well thank god I don't. I care about the grand scheme of things... which is a society with total equality and respect for all groups of people.
