After finally listening in full, I have to say, this is a VAST improvement over her debut.
There's nothing as grating or polarizing as Swagger Jagger, Over The Moon, or Dub On The Track. It's all well-produced, solid pop songs. The highlights (Sirens, Human, Bind Your Love) completely eclipse all of her old material. (Minus maybe "End Up Here" which I always thought was underrated pop-perfection)
I hope she lands a hit in the coming months (if not Sirens, then definitely Bind Your Love) because she deserves it for coming such a long way.
17-20k is honestly good for Cher. For someone who never EVER had a top 10 single in the US, and who's last album was 33k. That's really not bad, especially with no hits (and Epic Fail Records).
Didn't Lily do 17k? If Cher does more than Lily, I will be incredibly pleased.
i kind of wish they would release M.F.P.O.T.Y. in the US and heavily promote it for summer. i put it on my summer playlist and it's deff a great summer anthem. and it would probably be better to wait a bit and release Sirens in the UK and then heavily promote the album there and hopefully get the public back on her side. I want her to slay so bad especially with this amazing material behind her.
