What are your thoughts on straight people using "gay" slang like "shade", "spill the tea", "stan", etc.? Do you find it annoying? Or does it not bother you?
For me, it depends on who is using it. I'm not gonna lie, it gets on my nerves sometimes if I see a straight fifteen year old tumblr girl using gay slang.
I really don't care. Sure it would be better if they were more aware of its origins, but it's not serious enough to me for me to point it out or really even notice it in casual conversation.
I saw some dumb straight guy post some photo of his friends "serving legs" and I was like ummmmm, but I don't really care. It just makes them look gay too and gives me hope for the hot ones.
words that are derogatory are completely off-limits imo. everything else depends on the person - if it's someone who i know has made homophobic remarks/expressed anti-gay opinions in the past, i really don't believe they should be using it.
