Most of my friends who went to a four year colleges, who got their masters and everything else, most of them who have graduated they are not making six figures, they have so much student loan debt it's ridiculous. I have friends who have masters degrees who have to work at fast food to make ends meat and those student loan debt need to be paid every month.
So some people need to reevaluate college and what it means to them. Are you going to this particular college because of the name? or because how it looks? Or are you going to college to really get an education to better yourself once those four years are over?

Not really. I think the issue with many students and parents is that they don't plan ahead to live within their means. If you don't have the money, go to a state school, you'll graduate with little to no debt while getting just as good of a job. I'm currently going to a state school, and I have no debt to my name. Not to mention I already saved up money for a house, and my retirement.
People just don't know how to plan their lives. Some debt is good, only if its lower than $20,000. I also think another issue, is forcing children (and I use the world child strongly) to make a life decision so young. And with influences in society telling you what to do, this cause many to make irrational decisions in their lives.
