This is the so-called song dedicated to the undying support of us, the fans. The third single on Asia, Europe, South Africa.
This flopped because of so many uncovered controversies!
Prior to its physical release, the song managed to peak at #40 on the UK Official Singles Chart and at #27 on the Official Irish Singles Chart based on downloads alone.
On 3 March 2008, the single was released in its physical format, climbing 32 spots to peak at #8 on the UK Official Singles Chart (#7 on Midweeks defeated by #7 song only with 150 copies) and at #6 on the Official Irish Singles Chart. A live version of the single was also made available for download exclusively on TuneTribe where the fans accused the company not receiving an acknowledgment text and the song itself. This marks the first time in Westlife's history that a single has not been able to reach the top 5 in the United Kingdom, making "Us Against The World" the band's lowest charting single to date.
Many fans have blamed the record label, Sony BMG, for putting the song up for download 2 weeks prior to the physical release of the single as well as choosing to release it during the Back Home Tour, thus resulting in inadequate single promotion. A similar situation occurred back in 2002 when Bop Bop Baby (peaked at #5) was released while the band was on tour.
On 4 May 2008, the song managed to re-enter the UK Singles Chart at #74. This is believed to be due to a performance by a Britain's Got Talent contestant on the TV show.
The single peaked at #1 on several radio charts in Ireland, UK, Vietnam, South Africa, and The Philippines, #2 in Thailand, #7 in Indonesia, #20 in Sweden, #22 in Russia. The song also entered the UK and Irish iTunes Top Songs and Top Music video Charts. The music video peaked on the MTV Asia Chart Attack Top 20 show at #16.
I will admit they have a few good songs. Example: Flying Without Wings, World Of Our Own, When You're Looking Like That & You Raise Me Up, that is it, they do not deserve 13 #1's, they are an utter waste of space, they should be banished from Earth!
i love the song actually.
i mean, this and something right are the only ones of westlife singles i could hear after like 5 years they keep on releasing bland singles.

No I just plain hate them I have hated them since the day they came out. I've officially hated them from the day they stole S Club's rightful christmas number one in 1999. They need to split up right away. They have nothing to offer the music community anymore. They should go back in time to the 90's.

LOL, Westlife is far better and more talented than S Club 7.
Oh well At least S Club 7 could go outside the territory of the UK and crack the US market. Westlife done ****? S Club made everyone happy and Westlife makes everyone slit their wrists, they're the most boring, overgrown pop band of all time. They bring out an album every year with the same **** on it and they released a cover of a classic per album. S Club never ever covered anyone elses music, because they were fresh . So CHECK AND MATE
LOL, S Club 7 had ONE charting song in the US (a #6 on Pop). That's not much considering all the promo they had back then. Westlife has two charting songs in the US Pop charts (#21 Swear it Again and #40 World Of Our Own), and they had basically no promo there. Not to mention the US is not the only market in the world, and Westlife sold over 35 million albums worldwide without the US market.
