why does Asia buy her music? Because SONY did a hell of a good job there in the past. During the 90's she was EVERYwhere.. Remember her cute tv commercials in Japan? But nobody could have foreseen that she would sell - or that anyone could - 18m albums in Japan alone (13m according to Oricon, the Japanese soundscan)
Mariah is a Global Superstar. Mariah has always been weak in Europe for some reason. She has always been extremely successful in Asia, South America, Australia and of course North America. I am not sure about Africa. Mariah is a very prominent artist on the World spectrum and shouldn't be taken lightly.
