I can imagine her wanting to leave sci-fi franchises once Mockingjay: Part 2 comes out. Just for the sake of artistic integrity. I'm sure the money's great, but she loves doing different projects and taking on roles that are the complete opposite of anything she's ever done before. I can imagine her getting sick of returning to all these characters she's previously played when she could be taking on new roles.

The next one is her last on the current contract. LOL, even Hugh Jackman who is a much bigger draw for the franchise won't be getting that kind of paycheck, but usually what they do for things like that is make creative deals, i.e. we pay you around $8 million to be Mystique in another X-Men movie and we'll co-fund a project you'd like to see make it to filming.

I know you were kidding with the $40 mill but these movies cost so much to make without big actor paychecks that they always try work out other deals with actors.

Mystique has always been my favorite female X-Man (second overall after Gambit) so I would love to see a movie about her. And with JLaw, it would be both a critical and financial smash!

And for people saying she's already had her origins story, there's a TON more! X-Men Evolutions (the animated show) went over it brilliantly. Three words: Rogue, Nightcrawler, Destiny.

What everybody? ATRL? Because JLaw's Mystique has been critically acclaimed and a huge hit with the GP.
