Her 90s career is really interesting.
As you know, Rhythm of Love and it's singles were successful. Better the Devil You Know is iconic to UK and Australian gheys.
She then released Let's Get into Filler which flopped hard but did give her one big UK hit - give me just a little more time. Then she released a greatest hits to finish her contract with her first label, the GH did well and managed to carry her through 1992.
She had two options: sign with a more mainstream label or go with a "cool" smaller dance label titled Deconstruction. She chose Deconstruction. This gave us KM '94 which didn't exactly set the charts on the fire but gave us "Confide in Me" which was a big hit for her. There were plans for her to try and crack the US but the label she was planning to do that with folded. In the mean time, she started in the lackluster Biodome and Street Fighter. She even got an offer to be a lead on a American TV Drama series titled Cental Park West but she rejected it, the show was cancelled after 21 episodes so I guess it was a good decision. She also collabed with nick cave and was raising her credibility with critics despite the lack of commercial success.
Then came...Impossible Flopcess. An album that makes Bionic look like BOMT. While Australia responded VERY positively to indie Kylie, the UK absolutely trashed her. She did a small theatre tour in Australia which gave her touring credibility and decided to leave Deconstruction. Parlophone saw potential in Kylie because despite the floppage, she was still a tabloid fixture in the UK and Australian media. They signed her and the rest is history.
